I’m Gabriela, a Dublin-based photographer for couples who want photographs that feel like them. Whether you’re planning a surprise proposal, celebrating an engagement or simply making time for the two of you, we’ll choose a place you enjoy and keep the session relaxed. You don’t need to know how to pose or have a wedding date booked.
Surprise Proposal Photography in Dublin
A proposal starts with a little planning between us. Tell me your idea, the location and roughly when you’d like it to happen. We’ll agree where you’ll stand and where I can photograph discreetly, so you can concentrate on your partner.
I arrive before you, check the light and find my position. After the proposal, I’ll give you a moment together, then introduce myself when you’re ready and make some relaxed portraits for the rest of the session.

At Ciara and Tegan’s Killiney Beach proposal, I photographed the surprise from about fifty metres away before joining them for a walk and portraits along the shore. See the full Killiney proposal story for the photographs and planning details, or tell me what you’re thinking.
A Relaxed Engagement or Couple Shoot
An engagement session gives you time together without a wedding-day schedule. We walk, talk and make photographs as we go, with gentle guidance when you need it. If you’re camera-shy, it’s also a chance to find out what being photographed feels like before your wedding.
The Planned It is our two-hour posed session, with time to settle in and make a wider set of portraits. It costs €600. The Candid is the one-hour option for photographing a proposal as it happens, at €400. You can compare everything included in both packages below.

Choosing Your Dublin Location
Killiney Beach gives us open sky and sea views. It’s shingle, so wear shoes you can walk in on loose stones. The proposal story above shows both the discreet photographs from the back of the beach and portraits beside the water.
Herbert Park is another option for couples who prefer greenery to the coast. The photograph below is from a session there. We’ll choose the meeting point and timing around the light and your plans.

You might also have a place that means something to you: a favourite walk, the neighbourhood where you met or a garden you both love. Tell me about it and we’ll discuss whether it works for the session, including access, opening times and any permissions needed. For more ideas, read the engagement photography preparation and location guide.

Planning Your Session
Start with a rough date or timeframe and a location idea. We’ll discuss the best time for the available light, what to wear and a weather backup. Greater Dublin Area travel is included in both packages; for somewhere farther away, we’ll agree any travel cost before you book.
For a surprise proposal, use an email address you’re comfortable receiving replies at and tell me how you’d like us to communicate. You can leave the optional phone field blank. Ask about availability and we’ll work through the details together.
