For Connemara venues, I arrive the evening before, the roads through Connemara are beautiful but winding, and I want to be unhurried and ready.
Weather in the west is famously unpredictable, and honestly, that’s part of what makes it so photogenic. I always have a wet-weather plan, and some of the best images I’ve captured in Galway have been during or just after a rain shower, when the light breaks through and everything gleams.
