Crisp connoisseur, Polaroid addict, and fully obsessed with photographing love.
Twenty years behind a camera, a lifetime of loving light, and one very strong belief: your photos should feel like you, not a Pinterest board, not a shot list, not anybody else's idea of perfect.
It started in my parents' back garden, with a lot of teen angst.
It started with what I thought were “artsy” photoshoots in my parents' back garden, anything to show some teen angst and of course look cool to all my Facebook friends. I obviously had to prove to my mum it wasn't just a phase, so here I am 20 years later photographing weddings and loving it.
Over the years my obsession has taken me to fashion shoots, commercial work, events, and portraits, building up a toolkit and a way of seeing the world that I didn't fully appreciate until I shot my first wedding and realised: this is it. This is the thing.
Weddings have everything, tension, joy, chaos, tenderness, terrible dancing, and the most overwhelming love you'll ever be in the room with. I was done for from the first one. (Don't mind me always having a cry during the speeches.)
Then I became a parent. And weddings suddenly meant something different.
When you have a child, you start to understand what it means to look back. You understand the weight of a photograph. The way a single image can hold an entire feeling, a whole day, a whole version of yourself that you'll only ever visit again through pictures.
That shifted how I approach every wedding I shoot. I'm not just capturing a pretty day. I'm making the photos your family will look at for the next fifty years. The ones that end up framed, dog-eared, passed around at Christmas. That's not something I take lightly, and it's exactly why I care so much about getting it right.
Based in Dublin. Travelling all of Ireland. Absolutely no awkward posing. (Well, maybe a few awkward poses, but trust the process.)
How I Actually Work
Documentary First
I follow your day, not a checklist. The goal is to capture what actually happens, the nerves, the relief, the chaos, the quiet moments in between, not to manufacture something that looks nice on Instagram.
I Get to Know You First
Every couple gets a pre-wedding consultation so we actually know each other before the big day. Camera-shy? Tell me. Hate being centre of attention? Also fine. I'll work with you, not at you.
The Details Matter
The dress tag with a note from your mum. Your gran doing something unhinged on the dancefloor. Your partner's face in the two seconds before they see you. I live for those shots. I will find them.
